Celebrating 25 years

Virgin Atlantic is still red hot

teaser

This year Virgin Atlantic, one of the world’s leading long haul airlines celebrated its 25th birthday. The inaugural flight VS1 from Gatwick to Newark, New Jersey took to the skies on 22 June 1984. 25 years on, Virgin Atlantic has 38 aircrafts flying six million people a year to 30 destinations around the world including North America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Throughout its 25 years, Virgin Atlantic’s trademark innovation and quality is a key factor in its success and passengers can expect the very best onboard.

Upper Class – the ultimate experience

With a Freedom Menu to suit individual appetites, an award winning entertainment system, and a private Suite with one of the longest fully flat beds in business, Upper Class is the choice for the discerning business traveler.

To complement the perfect business package, Virgin Atlantic also offers award winning clubhouses providing complimentary massages, manicures, haircuts, food and drink*.

Premium Economy – in a class of its own

When we pioneered the concept of Premium Economy, back in 1992, we focused on all those extras that make a flight a memorable journey. With separate check-in and boarding, a preflight glass of champagne, an increased seat width of 53cm, a choice of three meals served on china dinnerware and inseat laptop power, it is no surprise that Premium Economy has won “Best in Class” at the UK’s Business Traveler Awards since 2004.

Confident about future growth

Virgin Atlantic is proud to fly one of the youngest fleets of commercial aircraft in the world, consisting of fully customised Boeing and Airbus aircraft that provides the airline with great capacity and distance flexibility. Virgin Atlantic is confident about future growth and is preparing for the years ahead, with an order for 10 new Airbus A330-300 aircraft, to be delivered in early 2011.
